The Basics
Select which 2, 3, 4, or 5 players will perform better than their projected outcome, get all your questions right, and win!
There are two types questions you can answer:
• Over/Unders - Select whether a player will perform Over or Under their projected performance for a stat. For example, for LeBron James Over/Under 29.5 Points, if LeBron scores 29 points or less, Under would be correct. If James scores more than 29 points, Over would be correct.
• Matchups - Select whether a player will perform better than another player in a stat category. Some questions may include a bonus to make the matchups more fair. For example, in Aaron Rodgers (+20.5) Passing Yards vs Tom Brady, if Rodgers throws for 250 yards and Brady throws for 260 yards, Rodgers would win the matchup because of the added bonus of 20.5 yards. Rodger’s total would equal 270.5 (250+20.5) and Brady’s total would equal 260.
As you play, you can combine Over/Unders and Matchups together to make up your entry.
Game Modes Overview
Sports Predictor is the first to offer a variety of game modes that suit the needs of a variety of players, from casuals to the payout maximizers. For each game mode, users must answer all questions correctly in order to win their entry.
• Toss-ups - This is the most traditional version of Pick ’Em. Users can choose to answer both sides of over/unders or matchups questions as they make their entries.
• Longshots - Who doesn’t love an underdog? In this game, the higher the risk the higher the reward. If you think a player will far exceed their expectations or their opponent will underperform, we give you the chance to place an entry on it. Ever wanted to place an entry on a player to get 2 or more TD’s or to score more than 40 points? Now you can. In this game mode, users can only choose one side of a matchup and answer over only or under only questions.
• Favorites - Play it safe with Favorites. Instead of going for glory, Favorites gives you the advantage as a player. Ever wanted to place an entry on Patrick Mahomes to have over 200 passing yards or Kevin Durant to have more than 15 points? Now you can. In this game mode, users can only choose one side of a matchup and answer over only or under only questions.

Coverage
With Coverage, you are able to win even if one of your picks misses the mark. To play, enter the minimum required picks and turn on the Coverage toggle before submitting your entry.
Coverage Pay Table:
• 5/5 correct picks - 10x
• 4/5 correct picks - 2x
• 3/5 correct picks - 0.3x
• 4/4 correct picks - 5x
• 3/4 correct picks - 1.5x
• 3/3 correct picks - 2.25x
• 2/3 correct picks - 1.25x
Ties and cancellations will reduce the amount of scored questions within an entry and regress the entry payout down a pick.
For example:
• A 5 pick entry (10x) with a tie or cancellation will regress to a 4 pick entry (5x)
• A 5 pick entry (10x) with two ties or cancellations will regress to a 3 pick entry (2.25x)
• A 4 pick entry (5x) with a tie or cancellation will regress to a 3 pick entry (2.25x)
In the event of a tie or cancellation with a 3 pick coverage entry, the submission will turn into a regular 2 pick entry.
After each cancellation the entry gets revalidated to make sure there is a valid amount of picks left and that the remaining eligible picks are both from 2 different teams. Entries that fail to meet these qualifications as a result of a cancellation will be canceled and refunded.
If an entry has 2 picks remaining where one is correct and the other is a tie, the user is subject to a payout. However, if an entry has 2 picks remaining where one is a tie and the other is incorrect then the entry won’t have a payout. If all eligible picks in an entry are tied then the user will be refunded their entry fee.
Please refer to the rest of the How To Play rules to learn more about our rules for valid entries, ties, and cancellations.
Entry Restrictions
A valid Pick ‘Em entry must have at least 2 players and must include player choices from at least 2 teams. A player can only be chosen once per entry for a given performance.
• Example: If there is a question asking about Tom Brady’s passing yards v.s the Cowboys and another question asking about Brady’s rushing yards v.s the Cowboys, both choices can’t be added to an entry at the same time.
• Example: If there is a question asking about Tom Brady’s performance v.s the Cowboys and another question asking about Brady’s performance vs the Jets, both Brady questions can be added to the entry. However, the entry must have at least one more pick where the player chosen is part of a different team.
Additionally, each Pick ‘Em game mode is subject to a max entry fee and a limit on the cumulative entry fees that can be used on a given choice.
• For example, a game mode has an entry fees limit for a choice of $1,500. If a Steph Curry Over 25 Points choice is submitted with an entry fee of $100, that choice can only be used in additional $1,400 worth of entry fees across all future entries. If a Steph Curry Under 25 Points is chosen for the same question, the entry fees from that choice won’t contribute to the $1,500 limit. Choosing a Steph Over for a different game or different stat will also not contribute to the limit.
The max entry fee per entry, max picks per entry, and entry fees limit per choice are subject to change over time for promotional reasons or other purposes as part of Sports Predictor’s discretion. However, if an entry is submitted before a change to the previously mentioned limits, it will be scored under the pre-changed conditions.
Sports Predictor reserves the right to remove or edit player selections at any time as projections and matchups may change. However, any picks made by the user will be scored as they were originally submitted.
All questions must be submitted before a game starts. Users that break this rule will be subject to a cancellation of either their entry or the submitted question.
Entries and questions may be canceled at the discretion of Sports Predictor. In any such event, your account balance will be refunded if you paid for a canceled entry.
Users who are suspected of malicious play will be subject to a ban or limitation of gameplay, per Sports Predictor’s discretion.
Stat Corrections and Data Errors
If a stat correction occurs or Sports Predictor’s scoring feed provides erroneous data, Sports Predictor reserves the right to evaluate the error’s impact on any resolved questions and entries. In the event there is a scoring error, Sports Predictor may resettle all impacted entries and adjust any payouts or losses from the incorrectly scored entries.
Cancellations and Ties
Cancellations
Each question cancellation reduces the amount of scored questions within an entry and regresses the entry payout down a pick.
• 5 picks in an entry regress to 4 picks
• 4 picks in an entry regress to 3 picks
• 3 picks in an entry regress to 2 picks
• If an entry has 2 picks remaining and one gets canceled, then the entry will be canceled and refunded.
After each cancellation the entry gets revalidated to make sure there is a valid amount of picks left and that the remaining eligible picks are all from 2 different teams. Entries that fail to meet these qualifications as a result of a cancellation will be canceled and refunded.
Questions where a player did not play are equal to cancellations. In the event of a player not playing in a matchup question, the entire question will be canceled. Below are the conditions for an inactive player:
• NFL - if a player doesn't play a snap.
• NBA - if a player plays 0 minutes.
• MLB - if a player isn’t in the starting lineup (excluding pitchers). If a pitcher does not start but does enter the game in relief, that pitcher is considered active.
• NHL - if a player is not active (skater), if a player doesn’t start (goalie).
• Soccer - if a player doesn’t start.
*Inactivity is subject to duration asked in the question (e.g, 1st Half, 2nd Half, etc). Shortened games that are deemed “official games” will be scored as usual.
If a game is suspended, questions for the game will be canceled. Sports Predictor may also cancel all questions for a game that has been postponed depending on the duration and time of the postponement.
Ties
Ties are considered as eligible questions. Each tied question regresses the entry payout down a pick.
• 5 picks in an entry regress to 4 picks
• 4 picks in an entry regress to 3 picks
• 3 picks in an entry regress to 2 picks
• If an entry has 2 picks remaining where one is correct and the other is a tie, the user is subject to a payout. However, if an entry has 2 picks remaining where one is a tie and the other is incorrect then the entry won’t have a payout. If all eligible picks in an entry are tied then the user will be refunded their entry fee.
Cancellations rules supersede ties in the event both occur in an entry.
Entry Cancellation and Editing
Submitted entries are final. They cannot be canceled or edited for any reason.
Scoring
Live tracking should not be treated as official scoring or the final result of an event. Official scoring and results will be posted once the game has concluded and box score stats have been finalized.
Overtime scoring is included for most sports, with a few exceptions:
• Penalty kicks in soccer
• Penalty goals in hockey (NHL)
• Playoff holes in golf
